A delegation from the Mogán City Council attended the VI Meeting of the Network of Smart Tourist Destinations (DTI) held in Tenerife, where advances in the smart tourism model and good practices were made known.
The Secretary of State for Tourism and SEGITTUR coordinate the DTI NETWORK with advisory actions in the application of the tourism model based on the sustainability of destinations through innovation and technology, and promoting the exchange of experiences among all its members.
The sixth edition of this Meeting has had the participation of 175 managers representing more than one hundred destinations, an experience that has served to establish synergies and contacts between professionals working on the development and implementation of DTI. Specifically, topics such as the Intelligent Destination Platform, the Tourism Intelligence System and its new sources of information, the New Comprehensive Tourism Sustainability System, standardization at the service of better destination management and the role of Artificial Intelligence have been addressed. in Public Administrations.
The person in charge of the Presidency area, Moruena Godoy, and the Tourism technician, Gustavo García, have attended in order to continue working to boost the competitiveness of Mogán as a destination by responding to the new demands for sustainability and accessibility with innovation and technology policies. , and consequently, improve the experience and quality of life of tourists and residents.
