Dinosol is going to grow in the south of Gran Canaria with purchases, that is, following the scheme that it had to carry out in Tenerife due to the impossibility of finding premises in good areas given the marking that Cencosu Spar has in the residential area of influence of Maspalomas, Arguineguín , Playa del Inglés and Vecindario. The operation allows Dinosol to grow in tourist areas at a time when control of vacation homes will be strengthened in 2024 with the exit of the non-wholesale rental market. Hiperdino buys those stores because they do not collide with others it has in El Tablero, for example.
The cost of the operation has not been revealed but it occurs months before Aldi's arrival in the south of Gran Canaria, although the company has planned 1,2 million euros in renovations. Before the sale, Quevedo Ramírez had 9 businesses in the south of the island of Gran Canaria with sales of 11,8 million euros and in 2022 12,2 million euros. Quevedo Ramírez has not given up stores: he maintains three points in Mogán-Patalavaca, Playa del Inglés and Puerto Rico. "The operation, obviously, would have been very favorable for the group based in El Tablero de Maspalomas," a source from the financial sector told Maspalomas24H, who would place the price "between 9 and 16 million euros given that it is being done without personnel."
The stores purchased by Dinosol total 2.000 square meters since three have 689 square meters each, two in Mogán of 880 square meters between Arguineguín and Puerto Rico along with another store in Vecindario of 400 square meters. The nearly 90 workers already receive their payroll from Dinosol.
