Remaining faithful to its commitment to supporting the most vulnerable groups, the SPAR Gran Canaria supermarket chain has renewed its collaboration agreement with the 'My son and I' Association. Through this agreement, the chain covers the annual costs of the psychological care and support service offered by the association for one of the families with minors with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
For the fourth consecutive year, the agreement has been signed, in an event attended by the president of the association, Davinia González, and the social manager and secretary of the association, Víctor Santana, together with the president of SPAR Gran Canaria, Ángel Medina, the vice president, José López, and the general director of the chain, Dunia Pérez.
In addition to psychological support for families with minors with Generalized Developmental Disorder (PDD) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the association also develops social integration, educational and citizen participation projects, as well as orientation, training, of art and of a therapeutic nature and thereby promote individual and social development.
These activities include the participation of families from the 'My son and I' Association in the children's fruit art workshops that SPAR Gran Canaria carried out within the framework of the Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair held from April 19 to 21. In this way, several families from the association were able to enjoy one more year an activity adapted to their needs, in which the little ones were introduced to healthy eating based on the consumption of seasonal fruit.
