The celebration will take place from May 09 to 19 and will have a varied program full of tradition and designed to be enjoyed with the family.

PROGRAM OF THE EL TABLERO 2024 FESTIVALS
The El Tablero Festivities in Honor of the Holy Trinity take place from the 09th to the 19th, with this year featuring a “very special” celebration, the 50th Anniversary of its Pilgrimage around the harvest. This was highlighted this morning by the mayor of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, Marco Aurelio Pérez, during the presentation of the program of events presented by the Councilor for Celebrations and Events, Yilenia Vega. Pérez wanted to make a reminder and special mention to all the families and people who historically "have been linked to its development and who have made it possible for these festivities to be large, participatory and to be enjoyed by both residents and visitors."
The mayor of Celebrations and Events, made a small historical reminder, pointing out that the first pilgrimage of El Tablero “was reflected in the program of the 1974 Festivals as a Float Parade” where the neighbors dressed in traditional sharecropping clothing participated. In the offering with carts and carts, “they were vehicles, trucks and mobile elements decorated with palm leaves, flowers, flags, rags, typical decoration and consumer products,” explained Yilenia Vega. With this date in mind, Vega indicated, a series of innovative events have been scheduled, among which the acquisition of 'El Portón de El Tablero' stood out, which marks the entrance to the offering of the pilgrimage, in which each group of pilgrims and families from the town will deliver the products and donations to the Holy Trinity. “It is a sculpture gate, which represents the past, the history of the town around tomato cultivation, the future and the present of El Tablero,” said its designer Manuel Encinoso. It will be located in the Plaza de El Tablero, right in front of the main door of the church. Another novelty, indicated Vega, is that the folklore group Los Herreños de Sabinosa will participate in the pilgrimage.
Yilenia Vega wanted to show her “infinite gratitude to the group of women, that human team thanks to which we can have the streets so decorated and beautiful after the hours they have dedicated to making all the decorative elements that will adorn the streets during the holidays.” Thus, with everything already organized, the El Tablero Festivities in honor of the Holy Trinity will take place from May 09 to 19, beginning on Thursday, May 09 with flying bells and ringing of bells, to give way at night to the proclamation that will be offered Mercedes Romano, named Romera Mayor and recipient of the Vara de la Romera 2024, “given her contribution and involvement in the recovery of the popular customs and traditions of El Tablero.”
