At around 11:25 a.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1 1 2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting a person in distress at Playa del Pirata, municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and who had been taken from the sea, in cardiorespiratory arrest, by a Red Cross jet ski.
Upon arriving at the scene, the SUC personnel continued practicing advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without obtaining results, confirming his death.
The National Police took charge of the body of the deceased, aged 30, until the arrival of the judicial authority and carried out the corresponding procedures.
