The Canarian Employment Service announced this Monday the launch with the Spanish Commission for Refugee Assistance (CEAR) of courses for immigrants with work authorization and registered as job seekers from May 20 in Maspalomas in an agenda called the Experimental Program of Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands.

Training is a fundamental tool for migrants to access employment opportunities in the tourism sector of Maspalomas. Acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary to perform different roles in the sector allows them to improve their chances of finding a job and developing a professional career in this field, according to the SCE.

There is a wide variety of training courses available for migrants interested in working in the Maspalomas tourism sector. These courses can be free or paid, and can cover a wide range of topics, including languages such as Spanish, English, German and other foreign languages that are essential for working in the tourism sector, as they allow you to communicate with clients of different nationalities. Another of the most in-demand aspects is customer service, which is essential for the satisfaction of tourists and the reputation of tourist establishments. Courses in this area teach communication techniques, conflict resolution and complaint handling.

Likewise, the tourism sector is constantly evolving and technological tools are increasingly used for managing reservations, communicating with customers and promoting services. Courses in this area teach how to use different computer programs and digital platforms.
