The Council of Ministers has approved, at the proposal of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, the call for subsidies intended to finance the renovation of office facilities with personnel from the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) for a total amount of 15.000.000 euros . Among them, that of Maspalomas.
The investment will allow renovation, adaptation and total or partial repair works to be carried out on the facilities, centers and offices of both new and existing employment offices. The Canary Islands has the responsibility of maintaining and renewing the employment office in the south of Gran Canaria, since it holds ownership of the network from the transfer of functions and services in terms of work management, employment and vocational training for the employment, with its facilities, furniture and equipment. These spaces integrate both the employment services provided by the autonomous communities and the SEPE benefits offices.
The term for the execution of the works subject to the subsidies granted will be four years from the granting.
