The ONCE entity Inserta Empleo will open an office for people with disabilities looking for employment starting this Thursday at the Maspalomas Cultural Center.
The Department of Local Development and the Foundation finalize an institutional agreement to promote the development of actions aimed at the labor insertion of young people from said group
The Department of Local Development of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, directed by the second deputy mayor, Elena Álamo Vega, and the Inserta Empleo entity of the ONCE Foundation, have reached a collaboration agreement to promote and facilitate care for people with disabilities or work incapacity of the municipality.
This agreement, which will soon be sealed through the ratification of an institutional agreement, will initially start with the launch of an office serving said sector of the population at the Maspalomas Cultural Center, every Thursday, starting this one, at a scheduled time. uninterrupted from eight in the morning to six in the afternoon.
The office will be attended directly by Inserta Empleo staff, as responsible for the human resources of the ONCE specialized in the care, training and inclusion of people with disabilities in the labor market. Its team of experts in guidance and intermediation, spread across 47 offices throughout Spain, already has more than 25 years of experience. “They are in charge of helping people with disabilities find work, even training them at no cost to them, and of offering companies the best candidates for the positions they need to fill,” says Elena Álamo.
This activity of Inserta Empleo is part of the state programs for youth employment and social inclusion, child guarantee and fight against poverty, which the ONCE Foundation is developing with financing from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF +) for training and employment of people with disabilities.
The lines of collaboration of the Department of Local Development and the Inserta Empleo entity will be aimed at establishing recruitment, referral, orientation and job placement programs so that people with disabilities have access to quality employment. Also to carry out awareness-raising actions among citizens and social agents, organizations and institutions of the municipality, to raise awareness of the world of disabilities and the potential work capabilities of people in said group. It is also proposed to carry out training actions for the employability of people with disabilities and establish collaboration ties with the associative fabric in the field of disability to promote and regulate that the provision of services to people in this group is channeled through from the same. The joint design and execution of specific actions will also be very important to promote the incorporation of young people with disabilities into the workforce and raise awareness among the business community to bet on their talent.
