It will be the first time that this traveling team of the National Police Corps offers this proximity service for the issuance and renewal of the DNI to the populations of Fataga, Tunte and the rest of the neighborhoods and nuclei scattered in the upper area of the municipality.
“The agreement with the National Police makes it easier for the most remote and elderly residents, who are the ones who have the greatest difficulties, to renew their license without the problems of traveling to Maspalomas. For this, the National Police operation will carry out the procedures corresponding to the issuance and renewal of the DNI on Monday, and then will return to Tunte on Thursday the 16th to deliver the issued or renewed documents,” says the councilor of Security and Emergencies, José Carlos Álamo Ojeda.
Until this Wednesday, there were already 12 people from the midlands who had booked an appointment for these procedures, two of them young people seeking their first license, and the other ten, already older, ready to renew theirs.
To make the most of this local operation, the City Council has carried out an information campaign through its social networks and also through information posters placed in municipal offices and in the busiest public and commercial establishments in all areas.
The requirements that the National Police demands for the renewal process are to present the previous license, two passport-size photos; a registration certificate if there is a change of address and the cash payment of 12 euros in fees. For expedition for the first time, in addition to the above, a birth certificate is also required.
