The Nuestra Señora de Fátima parish in Aldea Blanca shows off its set-up

The Nuestra Señora de Fátima parish in Aldea Blanca has been reopened after the rehabilitation work carried out on its doors, windows and interior box. The Department of Citizen Participation of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council granted the parish a subsidy of 16.000 euros with which they have been able to recover, through rehabilitation work, the original wooden elements that were in very poor condition due to woodworm and rust. 

 

 

The mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Marco Aurelio Pérez and the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Ruyman Cardoso, participated in the reopening ceremony, accompanied by the councilors of the local Corporation. 

 

The event took place on the day of the Patron Saint of the town, after which the Mass-Procession took place through the streets of the town programmed within the events organized in the Aldea Blanca Festivities, which are celebrated until May 19, in honor of the Holy Trinity. This Thursday will be Senior's Day that will begin at 20:00 p.m. and will feature the festival enlivened by Nueva Imagen and her Bandurria. 

 

 

The last weekend will be full of performances and festivals. It will begin on Friday the 17th with the Soloists Meeting organized by Asentaos y Tumbaos, and will continue with the festival by Estrella Latina. The next day, the day begins with the Clay Pigeon Shooting championship, the children's party with water mats; and from 22:30 p.m., the performance of Los Salvapantallas, fireworks, and the dawn festival with the groups Revelación and Star Music. The end of the party will come on Sunday, with the mass and procession in honor of the Virgin of Fátima, the festival of the soljero with Armonía Show and Leyenda Joven; and on Monday, the Mass for All the Dead will put an end to the celebration of the religious events of the village festivals.
