The general director of Puertos Canarios, Gilberto Moreno, received this Tuesday the blessing of the board of directors of the public entity Puertos Canarios, chaired by the Minister of Public Works of the Government of the Canary Islands, Pablo Rodríguez, has announced that he is working on the development of a new strategic plan for Pasito Blanco in the south of Gran Canaria like Puerto Rico, controlled by the Roca family.

The strategic objectives and basic lines of intervention aligned with the entity's mission and international policies, designed under criteria of efficiency and economic profitability, prioritizing the uses and activities of greatest utility and public interest; increasing the competitiveness of clients through the efficient and sustainable provision of logistics and transportation services, and their use as a noble leisure and recreation space as a boost to the local economy and job creation.

The board of directors of Puertos Canarios has agreed to begin the necessary administrative procedures to regularize the concessions of the marinas of Pasito Blanco and Puerto Rico, on the island of Gran Canaria.
Rodríguez explained that "the commitment of this Ministry and the public entity Puertos Canarios is to extend the concessions of the marinas of the archipelago that have expired or are about to expire, and that meet the requirements, to improve port facilities through investment private"

The Strategic Plan of Puertos Canarios defines a total of thirty specific objectives, divided into four strategic axes, designed for the planning, exploitation and management of the port system of the islands: on the one hand, economic sustainability, to diversify the port business, differentiate the offer of services, attract logistics activity and develop the necessary infrastructure through the improvement and modernization of facilities and the optimization of the profitability of the Canarian public domain.

Regarding organizational management, the entity will be provided with procedures, tools and computer applications that optimize ordinary management, agreements and agreements will be made with other administrations to obtain synergies and security, training, participation and continuous improvement will be promoted. of human capital. This initiative will adopt a new proactive approach in the environmental field, in line with the Canary Islands Circular Economy Strategy 2021–2030 and the Canary Islands Climate Action Strategy.
