The small construction companies in the south of Gran Canaria do not want companies from Las Palmas to come and take over the works of the transformation of the Maspalomas Oasis and leave them as mere subcontractors. The contracting companies hope that the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council will pressure the Maspalomas Tourist Rehabilitation Consortium so that the proximity of the companies that can handle this type of work is at least assessed in the specifications.

"Chira Soria's work cannot be ignored because the multinationals that have chosen it have it, unless the local contractors have the opportunity," an engineer who is in the process of creating an alliance of small contractors that can take care of the work told Maspalomas24H. works such as beautifying the environment. The works foresee the creation of parks and green areas.

Among the money planned is a walk with green areas worth 252.501 euros, an interpretation center for 173.668 euros, fencing for 1 million euros, pergolas and furniture for 661.226 euros and energy-efficient facilities for 866.023 euros. The conditioning of the Avenida Oasis boulevard will generate an expense of 300.000 euros, the landscaping of the area 408.034 euros, viewpoints 254.457 euros and walks and trails 469.579 euros according to the report that Tragsa made for the Maspalomas Rehabilitation Consortium with the Park Arquitectos office.
