The residents of El Tablero celebrated the traditional Bajada de la Rama, an event that has more than 25 years of history linked to the harvest. At 12:00 the delegation met outside the IES Aguañac, there more than 150 residents accompanied by the Guiniguada Band, made the usual route from the school grounds down Brasil Street to Avenida las Américas and ending at the public square of El Tablero.

As Carlos Milan, representative of the Collective Coordinator of the Tablero, points out, the Bajada de la Rama has been celebrated for 27 years after the Festival Commission proposed to “remember the route taken by the sharecroppers who worked the land in El Salobre and went down to the town after the work day.” Over the years, Milan continues, “the route has been shortened, given that the path from El Salobre became very long and it was decided to shorten it starting from where the Salobre roads join with El Tablero.”
