Of the 106 candidates who took the exams, twenty-five are women and none of them have failed. Only 11 men have not been able to pass the skills tests necessary to obtain the permit. Five of them for not passing the knowledge exercise on general topics of history, geography, culture, roads and itineraries of the municipality, and the other six for not passing the psychotechnical test.
Councilor José Carlos Álamo recalls that “this call to obtain a municipal taxi driver's license is the second that is formalized in this legislature by the government of Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez Sánchez, responding to a request from the taxi sector itself to be able to count on “legally authorized personnel to cover casualties and vacancies that usually occur periodically.” The first was held at the end of last year and 101 applicants applied.
