Romeral Laundry and Congalsa receive the Business Excellence Award from the Arinaga Industrial Zone

 

This Thursday the ceremony for the Business Excellence Awards of the Arinaga Industrial Zone was held. The chosen place was the Plenary Hall of the Agüimes City Council. These awards, promoted by the Conservation Entity of the Arinaga Industrial Zone (ECOAGA) and by the Business Association of the Arinaga Industrial Zone (Aenaga), with the collaboration of the Agüimes City Council, aim to recognize the good business practices of Arinaga in the areas of the Economy for the Common Good (EBC), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the contribution to meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

 

After the evaluation of the different applications, the Lavandería Romeral and Congalsa industries were awarded in the categories of Small and Medium Enterprise and Large Enterprise, respectively. The mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández, the president of Ecoaga, Juan Acosta, and the president of Aenaga, Cornelio Suárez were in charge of presenting the awards, with the presence of employees and family members of the award-winning industries and a business representation from the municipality of Aguimes.

 

Lavandería Romeral is an industrial company with more than 40 years of experience. Its trajectory has been marked by its commitment to service quality, innovation and sustainability, which has allowed its constant improvement. Yukonda Esparragoza, industry manager, collected the distinction in the Small and Medium Enterprise category.

 

 

The distinction in the Large Company section went to Congalsa, a national company specialized in food. With 34 years of experience, 18 of them in the Canary Islands, it highlights its commitment to society through solidarity actions and projects for the regeneration of marine species affected by unsustainable fishing. Noela Prieto, general director of Congalsa, received the award on behalf of the company.
