The Cruce de Arinaga Sports City renews the sports equipment and material in its gym

The gym at the Ciudad Deportiva del Cruce de Arinaga has been renovated this week with the incorporation of new machines and materials for cardiovascular and strength training. The new acquisition, made by the Agüimes City Council, will replace the equipment in operation until now, which had become obsolete due to intensive use and the passage of time.

The renovation was a demand that the regular users of the facility had sent to the municipal Sports area. The action has not only meant renewing the equipment but also increasing its number, which will allow it to accommodate a greater number of athletes. The mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández, and the Sports Councilor, Alberto Santana, visited the gym this Thursday with the aim of checking the correct functionality of the equipment and materials purchased.

Mayor and councilor took the opportunity to also see the new bithermal showers recently installed in the Hydrotherapy Center of Cruce de Arinaga, thanks to a subsidy for updating sports equipment granted by the Insular Sports Institute of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria. This subsidy has also made it possible to renew the material that the Sports area usually uses to carry out the sporting events that are organized in the municipality. The purpose of these improvements is to offer the best possible service to the population and continue betting on the excellence that characterizes the Agüimes sports facilities.
