The San Fernando Festival came to an end today, Sunday, June 02, after eleven days of celebration where the Department of Celebrations and Events of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council organized the events, offering activities with all audiences in mind, combining traditional events with others more modern and adapted to the younger public. Thus, this last weekend the festivities included, on Saturday, children's entertainment in the Plaza de San Fernando with castles, inflatables and workshops; while in the Alameda de la Plaza area, a Market area was installed with jewelry, art, DJs, etc. As sports activities, a Salsa and Bachata dance session was held with which attendees learned the basic steps of these styles and the VIII Meeting of Young Climbers organized by the T'PAtrás Climbing Club was held, which had a great participation of young audiences. On Saturday night, more than 2.000 people gathered in the Plaza de San Fernando to enjoy the Great Tribute to Juan Luis Guerra.

Already on Sunday, the day began with the celebration of the finals and the presentation of trophies of the Futsal, Soccer7 and 3x3 Basketball competitions that took place in the Víctor Miranda Pavilion, while on the outside esplanade of the Maspalomas Municipal Stadium installed a spectacular exhibition of Antique and Modern Cars that brought together more than 1.000 people throughout the day that lasted from 09:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. There, more than 160 cars could be seen, including two Ford Mustangs manufactured in Michigan, United States, and a Mercedes Benz 230SL, from 1964. The cherry on top of the celebrations came at night with the tribute to Whitney Houston made by the singer. Cristina Ramos. The Councilor for Celebrations and Events, Yilenia Vega, wanted to highlight the work carried out by all the volunteers, Friends of Maspalomas and the festival commission who have collaborated in the organization of the events, “they are undoubtedly a large part of the necessary engine for the development of the San Fernando festivities, ensuring that they maintain their essence, provoking coexistence and consolidating the identity of our town.”
