Approved the Landscape Conditioning project for the Palmeral Oasis of Maspalomas

The Local Government Board of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has approved the granting of two construction licenses granted by the Urban Planning Department. These licenses will allow the development of the Landscape Conditioning project of the Palmeral Oasis of Maspalomas and the construction of 12 new homes in the Castillo del Romeral. The first deputy mayor of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, Alejandro Marichal, emphasizes the “speed with which the Urban Planning area is working, prioritizing those projects that promote urban development and housing and with which not only relaunch our tourist destination, but also enhances the quality of life of our neighbors.” 

 

For her part, the Councilor for Urban Planning, Davinia Ramírez (CC), highlighted that the area of ​​intervention for the landscape improvement project “covers approximately 90,000 m², in the vicinity of the Maspalomas Palm Grove Oasis and will be carried out by the Maspalomas Tourism Rehabilitation Consortium for an amount of € 6.061.443 .” The proposed operations aim to correct existing impacts by eliminating spills, litter, fences, and obsolete and dilapidated installations, as well as old asphalt and disused elements of the road infrastructure. They also aim to enhance the landscape's unique features by improving the existing vegetation, fauna, and geology, and to harmonize the vegetation with existing masonry walls. Furthermore, the project seeks to functionally adapt uses and activities to improve connections and routes, create outdoor activity areas and spaces for interpreting natural and cultural values, and upgrade tourist bus stops and public services. as well as developing the tourism potential through signage, recognition and enhancement of the natural and cultural values ​​of the area.

 

The project includes the actions to be carried out in the Environmental Park, with actions such as general cleaning and demolition of disused infrastructure and the restoration and conservation of existing vegetation and revegetation with native species of roads, trails and bike paths; creation of access and reception, information and control areas; development of bio-healthy routes and contact with nature, including a "Flower Lagoon" and observatories; installation of shade elements, pergolas, fences and informative signage; and the restoration of existing stone walls. On the other hand, the actions in the Area of ​​Intervention / Roads; The transfer and conditioning of tourist bus stops will be carried out; development of the "Paseo de Oceanía" as a landscape connector and the creation of the "Rambla Tony Gallardo". The established execution period is months after its bidding. 

 

New homes in El Castillo del Romeral

 

The Local Government Board also granted a license to the Galerías Suárez Benítez entity for the construction of twelve new homes in Castillo del Romeral, specifically on Calle Juan de la Cosa on the corner of Calle la Santa María and Párroco Manuel Guedes. The provisionally approved material execution budget is 643,122.56 euros, and will involve the collection of 20.579 euros as ICIO. This project also includes the presentation of the necessary technical documentation and has received favorable technical reports.

 

The project includes construction on a residential plot of 717,31m2, where 12 homes will be located in the form of two duplex homes and 10 homes in a two-story building that will house five homes on the ground floor and another five, on the ground floor. First floor. In addition, they will have 12 parking spaces. For its construction, the developer will have a period of four years from the granting of the license and completion within a period of 4 years from the start of the works.
