The activities of the Fair began around six in the afternoon, and took on body and soul as the afternoon became cooler with the setting of the sun. The San Antonio El Chico Pilgrimage, the friendly match between Spain and Ireland and the concert by Miguel Torres (Mykel Towers) at the Maspalomas Sports City, all at practically the same time, did not dent popular participation in the Fair.
