The Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1 1 2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received a call at 02:34 hours reporting the rear-end collision of five vehicles, on the GC-1 highway, at height of exit 31, heading north, San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
A 31-year-old man who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented with moderate head trauma, was evacuated in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the San Roque Maspalomas University Hospital. The SUC staff assessed and assisted two victims, one of them refused transfer to a health center and the other, with moderate injuries, was evacuated to the aforementioned hospital center.
Firefighters collaborated in cleaning the road when a fuel spill was reported. The Civil Guard carried out the corresponding report.
