SmartRental Group, in which Bestinver (Acciona) participates, plans to launch the Akeah Broncemar Hotel in June. This new opening becomes the group's third Akeah complex, the first in the Canary Islands. The Akeah Broncemar, with 130 rooms, is part of SmartRental Group's strategy to have 500 rooms in the Canary Islands by the end of 2024, as reported by the chain to Maspalomas24H this Wednesday and as this newspaper announced last April.
The Broncemar was renovated ten years ago and has 130 double rooms located in Playa del Inglés. The first Akeah brand hotel in the south of Gran Canaria features a swimming pool, a separate children's pool and a jacuzzi. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, and guests will have a 24-hour reception.
With this new opening there are now three complexes that the group operates under the Akeah brand, which has a presence in Madrid and Budapest and continues to grow and expand. SmartRental Group points out that it continues with “a solid focus on its long-term vision”, following its five-year development plan. Therefore, the company continues with its plan to acquire assets and enter new markets. The company announces through its CEO, Carlos Escoda, that they are putting a great effort in Portugal.
The company specialized in living room and hospitality management has already added a hotel in Porto to its portfolio under the Akeah brand. The project, currently called Akeah Porto Secret Garden, marks the debut of the Akeah brand in Portugal. This is the second project that the company develops in Portugal, since it landed in the Portuguese market at the beginning of 2023 with the signing of a new asset in the capital, Lisbon. This first hotel of the company in the Portuguese market will see the light of day in 2025, and it is a 53-room building, completely renovated and with a restaurant, which will operate under the brand and name SmartRental Collection Lisboa.
