Rescue of an injured young man in a difficult-to-access area in Taurito

Yesterday afternoon, around 16:15 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which it was reported that a man was asking for help in a steep place. in an area of ​​Taurito, municipality of Mogán, where the march could not continue.

 

The Firefighters, Local Police and Civil Protection personnel traveled to the scene and, given the impossibility of accessing the affected person safely to proceed to his rescue, they requested the Coordinating Center to activate an aerial resource.

 

The rescuers from the GES helicopter got off the aircraft and accessed the victim. After giving him initial attention, they proceeded to rescue him and hoist him onto the device to evacuate him to the El Berriel helisurface. 

 

 

 

The 21-year-old young man who, at the initial moment of ground assistance by SUC personnel, presents a moderate upper limb dislocation, except for complications, is transferred by basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
