The Seaside Collection Charity Tournament contributes €6.000 with Solidarity Golf.
The San Juan de Dios – Seaside Collection golf tournament was held in Maspalomas one more year to benefit friends of golf and with which they will help the support that this institution provides to people with disabilities and their families.
More than a hundred players gathered on a morning that was more than conducive to the practice of this sport that is gaining followers in the province every day. The players were able to relax and take a break from their routine by playing golf and tasting the delicacies prepared by the 3 Seaside Collection hotels.
The players were summoned from 8:00 a.m. to the 1st tee, from where, at 10-minute intervals, they were called by the starter.
The modality chosen one more year was individual Stableford and 3 hcp men's categories, 2 hcp women's categories, special scratch prize and best classified senior.
All participants were received by the Seaside commercial team, who presented a bag with gifts. Early risers were also served a small breakfast of smoothies, cookies and savory puff pastries prepared by Seaside Sandy Beach****.
As the different matches were completed, the participants enjoyed snacks prepared by the Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia*****GL during the tour where they were able to exchange impressions. On the 9th hole, as every year, a fantastic picnic was offered, served by the Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia*****GL and Seaside Sandy Beach**** to regain strength for the second round.
In the award chapter, the Scratch category was won by Alicia Fajardo with 40 points. The respective winners in the men's categories in the three categories established by the organization were Thor Hellenaes with 37 points (1st), Massimo Rossi with 42 points (2nd) and Hidalgo del Castillo de Olivares with 37 points (3rd). In the first female category, the winner was Tamara Brito with 38 points and in the second the winner was Carola Bauernfeind with 41 points. All the first classified by category obtained their direct qualification to play in the Grand Final of the XXVI Maspalomas Golf Circuit that will be held in the southern course on September 1. The award for the best qualified senior player went to Kweon Jung-Woo.
In the special prizes section, the longest drive for men on hole 9 went to Leif Aagesen and the longest drive for women on hole 10 went to Alicia Fajardo, while the closest ball to the flag on hole 3 in the women's category It went to Evelien Luedtke and in the closest to the flag on the 16th hole among the gentlemen it was won by Francisco Peñate.
The awards ceremony and closing ceremony took place on the chill out terrace of Maspalomas Golf with around 150 people in attendance. The cocktail was served by Seaside Palm Beach*****. An exclusive gastronomic experience that has left an indelible impression on all attendees, consolidating its reputation and where event attendees were able to enjoy a complete culinary experience.
Once again, Seaside Collection and Maspalomas Golf have joined forces to develop and support initiatives aimed at improving the lives of those most in need. Thanks to the participation of players and sponsorships, this XXVI edition of the Golf Circuit has been a complete success and a motivation to continue supporting solidarity actions.
The optimism of the members of the Tournament organization and the good atmosphere among the attendees were the main protagonists and were the key to closing a perfect event.
Likewise, everyone present was informed of the next test of the Maspalomas Golf Circuit that will be held next Saturday, June 22 with the 2nd edition of the Dunas Hotels & Resorts tournament that will be played under the individual stableford modality with 3 handicap categories of men and 2 ladies, scratch and senior prizes.
