The summit municipality presents in Gran Canaria Tourism the program of the 'VIII Romantic Night of Tejeda, A Night Under the Stars', which will take place this Saturday, June 22
This is a proposal from The Most Beautiful Towns in Spain, Italy, Poland and France, where more than 400 European towns will kiss at the same time and is sponsored by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through the Department of Tourism and the participation of the Government of the Canary Islands
Eighth edition of 'The Romantic Night of Tejeda, A Night Under the Stars', which returns with a program designed for the whole family. This event is an initiative that was born from The Most Beautiful Towns in Spain, Italy, Wallonia and France, indicated the mayor of Tejeda, Francisco Perera, and has as its central axis a big kiss that is carried out in coordination with 400 other European towns, as explained by the latter in the presentation that was held at the Gran Canaria Tourism headquarters, an entity that collaborates in the event, together with the Government of the Canary Islands, and which was attended by the mayor of Tejeda, the insular Tourism Councilor, Carlos Álamo , and the Councilor for Culture and Celebrations, Verónica Espino.
The councilor of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria pointed out that it is a “pleasure to be able to collaborate with this initiative that we applaud because it is capable of combining very positive elements to have a tourist offer of the highest quality and that could not be complete without the prominence of the town of Tejeda.” . Álamo also highlighted the contributions of the different municipalities of the island to the tourism brand of Gran Canaria, “since the sum of what the 21 municipalities offer is our main strength. All 21 have distinctive attractions to offer and Tejeda is recognized as one of the most beautiful towns in Spain and Europe, it has a highly attractive gastronomic offer and is also known as one of the best places to enjoy not only our flora and fauna. but also of our sky, which has the international Starlight distinction.” Finally, the island councilor assured that the combined offer and the enhancement of the local product has allowed Gran Canaria to have invoiced almost 20% more compared to the previous year and that if we talk about the average stay it is almost two days longer than in the previous year. first quarter of last year. Which currently places us at an average stay of approximately 13 days, the longest in the Canary Islands.”

Music will fill the streets from 19:00 PM onwards, courtesy of the 101 Brass Band , who will bring their vibrant street music to one of Spain's Most Beautiful Villages, adding color and energy to the town. This brass band, with ten years of experience touring the islands, will bring their boundless energy and spectacular approach to music to Tejeda, kicking off this very special day.
For her part, the councilor responsible for Culture and Celebrations of the municipality of Tejeda, Verónica Espino, called for participation. “We are going to have a magical and special evening, because love is going to be present in the municipality, with grandparents and grandchildren, with friends, with dad and mom, with couples, we want you to enjoy the night. Romántica de Tejeda in a different way. From the City Council we work so that our streets become illusion, feeling and happiness that day and thus be able to enjoy an incredible evening, with many surprises. Finally, Betzabé Colina, head of bCOLiNA DISTRIBUTION & PRODUCTION, the entity in charge of organizing the event, presented some of its main attractions. This indicated that Raúl Ravelo “comes to break the ice, 'Shared, laughter is more' is a workshop that proposes a playful experience, in which we will experience in first person how play and laughter are two great ingredients to create and maintain more harmonious and positive relationships, while enriching and making our lives more pleasant and fun.”
At dusk it will be the turn of the shadow theater with La Tournée de L'Art and its scenic proposal 'Legends of Light'. This has elements such as silence, and a stage in a traveling theater truck, to delve through a play of lights and shadows, into the magic of the past and tradition, which narrates pre-Hispanic Canarian legends in a poetic way.
Around eleven at night it will be the turn of 'Videomapping' in the Plaza del Mirador of the Town Hall, a creation of GraffMapping that will give way to one of the most anticipated moments 'The Most Beautiful Kiss in the World, a kiss that will be synchronized with the regions that make up the official list of The Most Beautiful Towns in Spain, France, Italy, Belgium and Japan.
Astroeduca will offer an astronomy workshop to enjoy a Full Moon night just right in Sagittarius and illuminating the Tejeda basin, one of the Starlight tourist destinations. In the upper area, the spectacular star Arturo stands out, one of the brightest in the sky. Very close by, the Big Dipper will mark the position of the Polar Star and towards Roque Nublo we will have Scorpion with its star Antares, a spectacular red giant located just over 550 light years from us.
At half past eleven, Mara Pérez will delight the audience with her show 'Más Bonita Que Nada', a tribute to Rocío Dúrcal. The night will end with an 'improvised Kilombo' with a concert of Spanish covers.
