MASPALOMAS24H Monday, November 22, 2021

On Wednesday, November 24, the largest communication and marketing meeting on the islands dedicated to the tourism sector returns,

“After two years with hardly any tourists, we now find ourselves in a new scenario, with many variables to consider and uncertainty, in which we deeply hope that the reactivation of the sector is consolidated. Gran Canaria is more than prepared and our objective is clear and, in this context, it is very important to debate and know the opinions and recommendations of the experts. We will be very attentive to the conclusions to be able to take full advantage of the recovery, of the new opportunities that arise and in the search for tourism excellence at a time of maximum competition between destinations and where we have a lot at stake," explained the Minister of Tourism, Carlos Álamo.

Overbooking Gran Canaria Summit - OVB21 celebrates its sixth edition around the motto “Vision and Strategy 2025” and has among its speakers a list of marketing and tourism professionals from companies such as Parques Reunidos, Tourism Industry Advisors - THR, FutureBrand, Felicidad or Mabrian Technologies.

Likewise, Turismo de Gran Canaria – new nomenclature of the Gran Canaria Tourist Board – will announce a preview of the work carried out within the framework of its future Strategic and Marketing Plan, currently in the final phase of its preparation. These documents define a strategic map that will guide the public policies of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria for tourism until 2025 and, among other mandates, establish the need to involve the entire sector in common objectives.

With this, the Overbooking Gran Canaria Summit is presented as a forum to debate and share ideas to promote the competitiveness of the destination, raise awareness about the transition towards more sustainable companies and promote tourism development in areas that are currently the least exploited for tourism.
