The Gran Canaria murga with the longest consecutive activity, Los Sombreritos, from Agüimes, will commemorate its 50th anniversary in 2025. To celebrate its five decades on the stage of the Lagartero carnival, the group has designed an extensive program of activities that will take place in Agüimes between the months of October 2024 and March 2025. After the event, the members of the murga went to their rehearsal space, in the heart of the historic center, to present the rehabilitation work that has been carried out over the last few months in what has become one of the social reference of the town of Agüimes. The facilities have been improved, the capacity has been expanded and the decoration and furniture have been renewed for the greater comfort of its users.
