The Gran Canaria Island Water Council has put on public display the transfer of the occupation of a section of the public channel of the Barranco de Fataga, as well as the change of use of the occupation from Industrial-Commercial to Agricultural of an extension of 2.687 meters squares. It is not known how this may affect the geomorphological characterization of the existing hillside deposits in the Fataga ravine above La Gitagana, Arteara, Los Caserones.

The request comes from Antonio Guerra Sarmiento, who has passed the land concession to Fernando Bernardo León Suárez, as well as the change of use of the occupation from Industrial-Commercial to Agricultural in the Barranco de Fataga.

The drainage network attributed to Gran Canaria is radial. However, there are local variations in the layout that denote a reorganization and antecedent of the courses, as well as some catastrophic episode in the geological history of the island. The Fataga ravine shows three differentiated sections that give it the appearance of a mountain torrent with its reception basin, drainage channel and discharge cone.

The extensive incision has allowed the Fataga ravine to reach a relative degree of maturity; impose itself as the main course in the basin, capturing the rest of the tributaries and giving rise to a parallel network; develop a deep canyon and very vertical slopes in which numerous mass movements have occurred.
