A tapas route opens a new Christmas Campaign to support local businesses in Ingenio

INCAE and the Ingenio City Council sign a collaboration agreement to launch this initiative that joins a window dressing contest and a sales fair

A tapas route, a window dressing contest and a sale fair are some of the revitalization activities that the Association of Businessmen of Ingenio and Carrizal INCAE will launch this Christmas with the support of the Ingenio City Council, which has contributed a subsidy of 24 thousand euros after both entities recently signed a collaboration agreement.

 

This Christmas campaign, which was presented on the morning of this Monday, November 22, by Mayor Ana Hernández; the Councilor for Commerce, Catalina Sánchez and the president of INCAE, David Rodríguez, arises with the priority objective of energizing different commercial sectors and promoting purchases during these Christmas dates in the municipality's stores.

 "From the local administration we know that we have to be supporting the business community, and we do it with real actions, such as financial support for this campaign, but it is also necessary for the citizens of the municipality to do their bit by shopping and consuming in the local businesses. Now they need it more than ever after the stoppage caused by this pandemic. We need to recover normality socially, but also economically, the fundamental axis of a progressive society,” said the mayor, who also highlighted the strengths of local commerce compared to large stores or online shopping, such as the quality of the service or polite and direct treatment with customers.

 

The Councilor for Commerce highlighted the joint work carried out with INCAE to launch this project, different from previous years and on which they have been working since the summer months, and which will benefit not only the businesses that are members of the association, but to all the business community of the municipality in general. “With these events, what we want is to revitalize the most affected sectors and also create a community, so that people share, participate and become aware of the importance of supporting local commerce,” commented Catalina Sánchez.

 

David Rodríguez thanked the Ingenio town council for the support received and detailed the planned program that begins this Thursday the 25th with the Tapas Route through the Ingenio Casco area in which a dozen restaurants participate. The tapas route will continue on Thursdays, December 2 and 9 in Ingenio and on Thursdays 16, 23 and 30 in Carrizal. A Sales Fair that will take place on December 18 in the Parque de los Aromeros and in which both businesses associated with INCAE and those that are not can participate, a window dressing contest and prizes for the best tapas are other activities. that will be launched as part of this project, which is complemented by other initiatives such as the placement of photocalls for the commercial areas that will be installed thanks to the collaboration of the Department of Citizen Participation.

 

Zero fee for associated companies

 

During the presentation of the activities, David Rodríguez also announced that, in order to help the entire commercial sector in these difficult times, INCAE makes it possible for merchants to join the association without having to pay any fee, being able to benefit at cost. zero of all the advantages of being part of it such as receiving information about aid and subsidies, participating in events and promotions, receiving advice, etc.
