This Tuesday, TUI closed an agreement in the United Kingdom to offer European travel insurance with Allianz Partners, as it already has in Germany, Poland, Switzerland and the Nordic countries. Customers will be able to choose between a one-time or annual travel insurance. TUI will also market Allianz Partners travel insurance online under its own brand, making it available to travelers who have not booked through TUI.
TUI had a travel insurance deal with AXA which ended in April. During the second quarter of 2024, 2,8 million passengers traveled with TUI. Allianz Partners is already the leading travel insurer in the UK and this new partnership with TUI will strengthen that position.
The company run by Sebastián Ebel said in a statement sent to Maspalomas24H that "as a specialized travel insurer, our sole objective is to make the trip from start to finish as easy as possible for customers; from agile online trips to simple claims that are resolved instantly by our advanced artificial intelligence. Andrew Tolman, head of travel insurance for Allianz Partners UK and Ireland, said: “Our partners trust us because of our proven ability to operate at scale and provide peace of mind to their customers.”
