Within the framework of Operation AMADE, police actions were carried out by the Organic Judicial Police Unit of the Civil Guard Command of Las Palmas together with the Local Police of Ingenio.


An entry and search was carried out at the home of the detainee, who is also charged with a drug trafficking crime, and a prohibited taser-type weapon and two compressed air weapons were also seized.

 

The Organic Judicial Police Unit of the Civil Guard Command in close collaboration with the Local Police of Ingenio, within the framework of operation AMADE, have arrested two people on the 24th, a man and a woman for the alleged commission of a crime of Trafficking in Human Beings for the purposes of sexual exploitation and illicit activities in the municipality of Ingenio. 

 

Complaint and initiation of proceedings

 

The first police actions were initiated following a complaint, filed by a minor, in which she reported having been forced to practice prostitution in a nightlife venue for couples exchange located in the Cita de Playa Shopping Center. of English, Maspalomas.

 

Apparently in said establishment, they would have, among other girls, the minor as a sexual attraction, with one of the detainees being the person in charge of that establishment and the one who would indicate with which partners the minor should interact with to finally have sexual relations with the club's clientele. .

 

 

The Civil Guard immediately began an investigation aimed at verifying the existence of the alleged criminal act and identifying the natural and legal persons responsible for it, within the framework of the Police Operation called “AMADE”.

 

It so happens that in the course of the police investigation, sufficient evidence was obtained to prove the alleged sexual exploitation of the minor, being a clearly vulnerable victim.

 

In addition, it was possible to learn in parallel of the existence of another woman responsible for the sexual exploitation of the minor, who was in charge of recruiting her and inducing her to carry out sexual work and subsequently collect a part of the benefits she generated from these works. practices.

 

As a result of police coordination and close collaboration with the Ingenio Local Police, a series of clues were obtained about this woman, who would also be dedicating herself to drug trafficking from an occupied home in the town of El Carrizal. For this other crime, she would also be counting on at least another minor for the retail sale of all types of narcotic substances.

 

 

Exploitation phase

 

The exploitation phase of the AMADE operation was carried out on June 24, when both police forces carried out an entry and search at the aforementioned address in El Carrizal authorized by the Court of Instruction No. 2 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, coordinated and carried out by the UOPJ of the Las Palmas Command, components of the Ingenio Local Police and the Agüimes Main Post, USECIC of the Las Palmas Command.

 

In this action, a 23-year-old woman was arrested, and a 14-year-old minor was found inside the house, who had escaped from a juvenile center.

 

Arrest and discovery of prohibited drugs and weapons

 

It turns out that during the home search, a large amount of cash, different types of drugs such as hashish and crack prepared for retail distribution with their weighing and handling tools, as well as a prohibited taser-type weapon, were also seized. and two compressed air weapons.

 

 

The detainees, along with the Police Investigations carried out, were handed over to the Investigative Court number 2 of San Bartolomé de Trajana (Las Palmas).
