The Lopesan board keeps Eustasio López at the head of the group

It may have been one of the sweetest General Shareholders' Meetings in Eustasio López's career as president of Hijos de Francisco López Sánchez (Lopesan). The board has complied with the scheme designed at levels of good benefits and with an eye on two fronts: the Caribbean projects and the development of pending land in Meloneras and Fuerteventura are the financial backbone of Lopesan in the short term.

At 71 years old, the group's patriarch has a net worth of 1.275 million euros, which in the last financial year has increased by 150 million euros (13,3%). The richest businessman in the Canary Islands has 3,68% of his assets on the stock market and outside of that structure he controls power in LS Invest AG, Erga Inversiones y Proyectos and Delta Island. Group sources consulted by Maspalomas24H indicated this Thursday that the president of the hotel promoter gave a motivating speech to the family environment, placing special emphasis on what, for him, has been the key to success: perseverance, prudence and discretion with a human team capable of continuing with the path of growth of results and very conservative dividends.

Nothing was expected other than massive support from shareholders for the management formed by the family, which has supported the decisions. The Lopesan shareholders meeting at the Las Palmas headquarters, where it is expected to continue operating for the moment, has ratified the control of the group by the president. The group continues to manage 15.000 beds in areas such as Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Germany, Austria, Thailand and the Dominican Republic. Fuerteventura is the jewel in the crown of the future of the group that has 61 million euros stored in Meloneras.

Lusan Cartera de Valores, owned by Francisco López, owner of 42,5% of Lopesan, accumulates 32 million distributed in bank accounts in Monaco, Geneva and Zurich. Inventur Helsan owns 51%. The land portfolio is 3,5 million square meters between Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, the latter island where in 2022 it would have sold land for 22 million euros.
