The Gran Canaria Big Band will be in charge of offering the opening concert of the XVII Maspalomas International Trumpet Festival, which will be held this Sunday, July 14, on the incomparable stage of the Maspalomas Lighthouse, at 22:00 p.m., with the 'Sinatra 2.0' concert.

The program will be dedicated to the singer Frank Sinatra and some of the most popular songs from the most representative repertoire of the American singer, known worldwide as 'The Voice'.

'Sinatra 2.0' is the second installment of the show that the Gran Canaria Big Band dedicates to one of the great voices in the history of music, Frank Sinatra, with arrangements and compositions by Nelson Riddle, Sammy Nestico, Quincy Jones and Billy May, and the extraordinary voice of Fasur Rodríguez, a reference on the national scene. This concert has been adapted to a new schedule so as not to coincide with the final of the European Football Championship.

This concert will be the starting signal for what promises to be one of the most frenetic editions and with the highest attendance of participants in the history of the Maspalomas International Trumpet Festival.

The program will offer various activities that will be carried out at the official headquarters of the Festival, Expomeloneras, throughout the week, to continue, on Tuesday, July 16, the series of concerts, which will be held until Saturday, July 20.

The festival has three main actions: a training part for students arriving from various countries; a series of parallel activities, with the possibility of attending, free of charge, for all those who want to come to the different celebration spaces, and an artistic part focused on the concert series.
