Barrera, a drifting driver, lost control of his vehicle during an exhibition at the circuit and suffered an accident.
The motor world in the Canary Islands received a hard blow this Sunday after the death of Josué Barrera at the Maspalomas Circuit. The 41-year-old drift expert was performing a demonstration on the circuit when he lost control of his vehicle and suffered an accident.
Despite the action of the emergency and security personnel present at the exhibition as well as the circuit staff, Barrera could not be revived and died. The accident occurred at approximately 16:30 p.m. in front of the circuit stands, although no spectators at the event were injured as a result of the impact.
