Last Friday, July 5, Aceinsa Canarias, a subsidiary in the archipelago of Aceinsa Movilidad, acquired 100% of the company Madrelagua Foresta, a regional company recognized for its experience in natural stone construction work in the south of Gran Canaria and with a wide portfolio of services, diversity of masonry techniques and styles (ordinary, dry, stone, decorative, etc.), it is a benchmark in the sector in the tourism business in the south of the island of Gran Canaria.
The president of the business group, José Agustín Sánchez Bernal, sees tourism as one of the axes of growth as well as the offer of public services in sectors such as signage. The purchase of Madrelagua Foresta is intended to grow in areas such as road improvement and maintenance. "At this time, the correct conservation of infrastructure is becoming increasingly important with the double objective of maintaining heritage and offering the end user equipment with the best quality levels, presenting us with a very promising future in the sector. of the maintenance and operation of infrastructure, both in the urban and interurban areas," says Sánchez Bernal, who has highlighted that it is an honor for his business corporation to grow in a territory like the Canary Islands with which it has a special emotional connection. In his opinion, it was a pending task without undermining the work that has been carried out until now with the group's staff based in Telde.
Aceinsa Movilidad reinforces its presence in the construction and services sector in the Canary Islands, in an operation that also guarantees the maintenance of the jobs of the 13 employees who are currently part of the Madrelagua Foresta workforce. Aceinsa Movilidad, based in Madrid, is a company specialized in the conservation and maintenance of public infrastructure, which employs more than a thousand people throughout the national territory. It operates through subsidiary companies in Castilla La Mancha, Galicia, Levante, Cantabria and Andalusia, in addition to the Canary Islands.
Aceinsa Canarias, based in Telde, Gran Canaria, was created in 2019. It currently has more than 100 workers and operates mainly for the different public administrations in Gran Canaria, although it has contracts in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma and Tenerife. . Its main activities are related to the maintenance of public lighting, roads and green areas. Its CEO, Javier Segovia Irujo and its general director, Rodrigo Miranda Galnares, at the head of the company since its creation, are betting with the acquisition of Madrelagua Foresta on an increase in the catalog of services to be provided by Aceinsa Canarias.
