The clubs were located, two in Las Palmas de GC and two in San Bartolomé de Tirajana
The police investigation led to the dismantling of these four drug sales points, specifically marijuana and hashish, the arrest of 14 people and the seizure of a large quantity of narcotic substances.
The National Police have arrested 14 people in Las Palmas de GC and in San Bartolomé de Tirajana as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health. In the search of one of the premises in Las Palmas de GC, the GOIA Group of the city's Local Police collaborated.
This special operation is framed within the National Action Plan against crime associated with the production and trafficking of marijuana. The National Police was aware of the existence of several points of sale of narcotic substances in several of these locations on the island of Gran Canaria. These associations would be providing, mainly marijuana and hashish, to consumers and also allowing said substances to be transferred outside the premises.
Said distribution would be carried out in establishments under the guise of an association related to the study of the properties of marijuana and its derivatives, known colloquially as “Cannabis Associations.”

Several investigations were thus initiated by agents of the National Police of the Local Police Station of Maspalomas and agents of the Provincial Brigade of Judicial Police of the Superior Headquarters of the Canary Islands, where it was possible to verify that narcotic substances were being sold in said premises, mainly hashish and marijuana.
With the pertinent entry and search warrants, the searches of the four premises were carried out, two in the city of Las Palmas de GC and two in the town of Playa del Inglés, where 67 marijuana plants, 3.600 grams of marijuana buds, 1.335 g. of marijuana bite, 834 g. of hashish, 977 g. of hashish pollen, more than 200 “joint” type cigarettes, 8 g. of cocaine, 2 g. of methamphetamine, cookies and gummies with psychoactive substance “THC” (tetrahydrocannabinol), 8 precision scales, an electric press, cash and different tools for the dispensing and consumption of said drug.
For all these reasons, 14 people, responsible for the four premises, were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, and were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
