The vice president of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Augusto Hidalgo, has announced a significant investment of more than two million euros in the municipality of Mogán for the next two years. This initiative will focus on both the rehabilitation of homes and the improvement of road infrastructure in the area. Hidalgo, accompanied by the mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, highlighted the importance of these interventions during a work meeting with the local government.
One of the most notable projects is the rehabilitation of 245 homes in Mogán, Veneguera, Barranquillo Andrés and Soria, under the Programmed Rehabilitation Residential Environment plan (ERRP). This project, with a total budget of 5,6 million euros, is financed for the most part with Next Generation funds from the European Union. The Cabildo will contribute 535.000 euros and the Mogán City Council a similar amount. The plan will not only improve housing from an energy and environmental efficiency point of view, but will also improve its accessibility.
In addition, the Public Works area of the Cabildo will allocate 515.000 euros to improve the asphalt on island roads that cross the municipality, such as the GC-200 and the GC-500. These works are in addition to those already carried out in the last year and a half, which included the renewal of the pavement in important sections of the GC-1, GC-500 and GC-200. Augusto Hidalgo also announced the replacement of approved metal barriers and fences in the coastal and ridge area of Mogán, with an additional investment of more than one million euros.
Mayor Onalia Bueno thanked the councilor for the visit and his commitment to the municipality. She expressed her satisfaction with all the planned actions.
