The victims are threatened with a large knife
On July 22, 2024, the Civil Guard in Gran Canaria arrested a 44-year-old person for the crime of attempted robbery with violence by threatening two victims with a knife in a food establishment located in the municipality of Vecindario.
The Civil Guard was made aware of the events that occurred, after the complaint filed by the victims at the neighborhood's Main Post, stating that a middle-aged person entered the establishment with a large knife in hand, threatening them, preventing them from committing the crime thanks to the active attitude of the owner of the establishment.
The Civil Guard immediately arrived at the scene, verifying how two people had supposedly been victims of a robbery with violence, providing the same description of the perpetrator and being able to later confirm this description with a superficial viewing of images.
The quick action carried out by the Civil Guard carrying out a search device in the streets surrounding the scene of the events, resulted in the location of a male with features similar to those described by the victims, matching the features and clothing provided by the victims and viewing of the cameras.
The proceedings with the detainee were made available to the Court on duty in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
