After passing through the Training facilities of the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands and 1.200 internships, 13 agents took office this Tuesday, July 30, as career officials of the Mogán City Council.
The institutional event took place at the Session of Sessions of the Town Hall with the mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, the first deputy mayor and councilor for Citizen Security, Mencey Navarro, and the accidental chief of the Local Police of Mogán, José Luis Segura.
During it, before family, friends and councilors of the Local Government, the new agents swore or promised their positions, also signing the certificate of possession and the mayor placing the insignia on them. Precisely Bueno dedicated a few words of congratulations to all of them, 10 men and 3 women, to whom he also requested full dedication to the security of the municipality.
The accidental chief of the Mogán Local Police stated in this same sense, ensuring that the incorporation of these 13 new officials translates into being able to offer better services to citizens. Regarding the internship period that they have carried out in the Mogán Local Police during the last few months, Segura has reported that “all of them have allowed themselves to be helped and have received very well the advice that their colleagues in the Corps have offered them. each of the services", which is why, he assured, "we are very proud that they are already career civil servants of the Mogán City Council."
For his part, the first deputy mayor, who has also congratulated the officers and encouraged them to “carry out their position with total honesty, sacrifice and dignity”, has reported that the City Council continues to work on improving the Police Force. Local in Mogán, currently made up of 50 agents, “with the incorporation of more personnel, currently in the selection process.” The objective, he has pointed out, is that these can join in 2025, and reach more than 60 police officers in the municipality.
