AEMET has issued a statement warning of a significant increase in temperatures, with values that will range between 30ºC and 36ºC on the island. This meteorological phenomenon, due to a mass of warm air from North Africa, will intensify in the coming days.

The Government of the Canary Islands has activated all emergency protocols and has called on the population to take the necessary precautions. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure during the central hours of the day, hydrate adequately and pay special attention to the most vulnerable groups, such as children, the elderly and people with chronic diseases. Citizens are urged to follow the recommendations of the authorities.
