The insurance company DKV (Münchener Rück AG) has opened new offices this summer in the south of Gran Canaria to meet the demand of individual clients and companies in the service sector. DKV's Funeral insurance line has exceeded 800.000 insured at the end of May 2024, in a milestone that the company attributes to the continuous adaptation of the product to new customer needs and the consistency of the commercial network.
The owner of DKV is the Munich Re Group, which operates in the field of reinsurance and, together with the Ergo Group, in primary insurance. In addition, Munich Ergo Assetmanagement GmbH (MEAG), as an asset manager, takes care of a large part of the company's investments and the assets of private and institutional investors. In 2023, DKV's Funeral branch score was the highest in the company, reaching 65,6%. The Net Promoter Score index indicates policyholder satisfaction with the company's products and services, as well as their loyalty to the brand. Therefore, the higher the score, the greater the recommendation and customer loyalty.
To reinforce the proximity with clients and companies in the south of Gran Canaria, DKV has launched the contracting of Health insurance for up to 30% less the first year, and more in consecutive years, and with the possibility of expanding discounts depending on the number of insured. For foreign residents in the south of Gran Canaria, DKV offers global travel assistance in case of urgency and with wide market limits, up to 180 days and 20.000 euros. This policy will be for life starting from the third renewal. From that moment on, DKV undertakes not to cancel it.
The DKV commercial apparatus in the south of Gran Canaria offers medical telephone lines, such as the 24-hour DKV Doctor and the 24-hour pediatric line, in addition to other more specific ones, such as the psycho-emotional line (with a team of psychologists), for women, pregnancy, or sports or nutritional specialty.
On the other hand, the president of DKV Seguros, Javier Vega de Seoane, has been named the new president of the board of directors of Singular Bank. He replaces Jacques Aigrain as president of the board, who has held the position since 2019. A mining engineer from the ETS of Madrid and a BA diploma from Glasgow Business School and Insead, Vega de Seoane is currently president of the DKV Seguros group and the Fujitsu Spain Advisory Board. He brings extensive experience in executive positions in various economic sectors, having been president of SKF Española, general director of INI, president of Explosivos Riotinto, SA Cros (Ercros), Gestlink, and MasMóvil. Between 2015 and 2018 he held the presidency of the Círculo de Empresarios. Additionally, he has extensive experience in corporate governance.
