At around 10:10 a.m., a 54-year-old man was recovered from cardiorespiratory arrest thanks to the rapid intervention of the staff of the Canario Emergency Service (SUC) on Avenida de Canarias, in the municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana.
The incident occurred when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert about a man who had lost consciousness at the aforementioned address. Immediately, emergency resources were activated, including a medicalized ambulance, a sanitized ambulance and a basic life support ambulance from the SUC, as well as Local Police units.
The SUC personnel who went to the scene verified that the man had suffered cardiorespiratory arrest. After performing basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, they managed to reverse the situation. Once stabilized, the patient was transferred in serious condition to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
The Local Police also collaborated in the operation, facilitating the intervention of emergency teams at the scene.
