The queues to pick up the rental car in Gran Canaria is one of the biggest complaints that tourists on the island of Gran Canaria have. Avis in the Canary Islands, directed by Domingo Alonso Group, has digitized its entire fleet and the entire process can be done through a mobile application and, when they arrive at the destination, they go directly to their car, open and close it from the app, without having to go through the counter. No long lines, no pressure to take out additional insurance, no unnecessary paperwork.
Avis Budget Group, a global provider of mobility solutions, has launched Self-Service Kiosk in Spain, an innovative service that combines technology and efficiency to facilitate the collection of rental vehicles. The new system allows customers to collect their vehicle keys quickly and safely through an automated machine, and without having to go through the counter.
Self-Service Kiosk is integrated into the Avis app, offering customers paperless management and a seamless experience from booking to key collection. Once the reservation is complete, customers only need to verify their identity through the Avis app before selecting or upgrading their vehicle and receive a QR code, which is scanned at the Self-Service Kiosk to collect the vehicle keys.
Thanks to this innovative service, customers can collect their vehicle keys in just 30 seconds after scanning the QR code. This fast and efficient solution guarantees greater accessibility and convenience, allowing users to avoid lines and save time, giving them full control over their travel itinerary. This latest launch, along with the QuickPass digital check-in service, demonstrates Avis Budget Group's commitment to continuous innovation and its ability to continue improving the customer experience. Customers will be able to access the Self-Service Kiosk through the Avis app, allowing them to experience the secure, flexible and hassle-free rental experience that the company offers.
