The lack of carts forces the cancellation of the San Bartolomé pilgrimage on Saturday, August 17

The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council reports the cancellation of the pilgrimage in honor of San Bartolomé whose celebration was scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday the 17th, within the festivities in honor of the patron saint of the Tirajana municipality. The absence of participating carts, only one registered, which had to accompany the municipality's patron saint and the folkloric groups, is the reason why the organization has decided to cancel the pilgrimage that would celebrate its second edition this year. 

However, despite the cancellation of the tour, the party will continue to be held with the rest of the activities planned for Saturday, August 17, without undergoing any modification. Therefore, the Plaza de Tunte will host the celebration of the festivals that will begin at 23:00 p.m. with performances by Grupo D'Music, Orquesta Star Music, Leyenda Joven and DJ Promaster.

On the afternoon of Sunday, August 18, traditional and customary music will enliven the Medianías del Timple concert, organized by the Commonwealth of Medianías and which will be led by the timplista Germán López, with the collaboration of Yuniel Rascón and Carla Vega. Likewise, recognition will be made to Mari Carmen Pérez Pérez for her teaching work at El Tablero and her collaboration both in the parish and in her hometown, Tunte.
