According to the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, the Fátaga Fire is stabilized
So far it has affected an area of about 10 hectares and a perimeter of 2,35 km
The emergency situation is declared at Level I, having proceeded to cut off the GC-60 between Fataga and Tunte, and evacuate housing infrastructure upstream of the fire and the Molino del Agua Hotel.
A fire of alarming proportions affects the historic palm grove of Fataga, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The flames, fanned by a light wind, have begun to spread, generating concern among authorities and the local population.
Firefighting teams have mobilized quickly and are already working in the area to put out the fire. An operation has been deployed that includes both ground and air means, with the aim of controlling the situation as soon as possible.
