The southern coast of Gran Canaria will have its summer postcard with the participation of nearly fifty participating boats, between August 29 and 31, in the fourth edition of the Gran Canaria Deep Sea Fishing International Open, which in this This occasion is organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria, together with the Pasito Blanco Yacht Club, in addition to the sponsorship of Turismo de Gran Canaria and the participation of the sports docks of Puerto Rico and Mogán, together with Pasito Blanco. The contest has 35 editions since the initial proposal of the traditional fishing contest, the embryo of the current model and which was a pioneer in the concept of catch and release, converted four years ago into Open International, and hopes to surpass its participation record.
The Tourism Minister of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Carlos Álamo, assured that this summer event has become an important attraction for the sector, since it allows us to attract clients who are also lovers of the sea and deep-sea fishing. Álamo spoke about the growth in international client interest in this event at the Pasito Blanco Pier, together with the vice president and president of the Tourism Commission, Santiago de Armas; and the director of the Pasito Blanco Marina, Francisco Torres.
