The works have an investment of 1,3 million euros and will have a maximum execution period of 8 months
A total of 37 streets in Cruce de Arinaga and 2 in the La Banda neighborhood will be repaved starting next week. The works are part of the new asphalt plan launched by the City Council, which has an investment of 1,8 million euros (1.824.093,51 euros), of which 75,2% (1.372.069,70 .2021 euros) are financed by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria from the resources of the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN) for the period 2027-8. It is expected that the work will be completely completed in a maximum period of XNUMX months.
The works planned at the Arinaga and La Banda Crossing have been awarded to the company Lopesan Asfaltos y Construcciones for an amount of 1.380.578,51 euros. The action will allow the conservation of municipally owned public roads to be carried out, keeping them in adequate conditions of service and safety. To this end, surface rehabilitation and improvement of asphalt paving will be carried out, in addition to updating horizontal signage and placing speed bumps and raised pedestrian crossings at points where vehicles usually travel faster than permitted.
The municipal Public Works area asks the population to remain attentive to the information signs of possible traffic cuts or modifications, both in relation to the circulation of vehicles and parking on the affected roads.
At the Arinaga Crossing, the streets Guapil, Isora, Famara, Doramas, Benartemi, Adeje, Princesa Guayarmina, Beletén, Gofio, Princesa Teseida, Menceyes, Tara, Bentejuí, Tirma, Tanausú, Bencomo, Echedey, Jonay, Tacande, will benefit. Guarapo, Taifa, Tamadaba, Guanche, Princesa Teseida, Guanarteme, Faycanes, Princesa Tenesoya, Veneguera, Tauro, Autindana, Roque Nublo, Adargoma, Bentagocha, Tamarán, Gumidafe and Bentayga, in addition to the public parking on Belingo Street. In La Banda they will be Avenida de La Banda and Nuestra Señora del Carmen street.
In the month of June, through the Municipality's new Asphalting Plan, 16 streets in Agüimes helmet were resurfaced. These works were carried out by the company Hermanos García Álamo for an award amount of 443.515 euros. In this case, the benefited streets were Hermanos La Salle Avenue (service road) and Barbuzano, Tabaiba, Acebuche, La Sabina, La Palmita, Venezuela, Chile, Alegranza, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Timanfaya, León and Castillo, Millares Carló and access to La Viñuela School.
