José, a resident of San Fernando de Maspalomas who recently went viral for a video in which he denounced the illegal occupation of his home in Vecindario, has finally managed to recover his property. This outcome was possible thanks to the intervention of a company specialized in mediation of real estate conflicts and the valuable collaboration of Alejandro Maró, a local YouTuber known for his channel “Esto puede salir mal”, who widely disseminated the case.
The house recovery process was completed successfully, which initially filled José and his family with joy. However, that satisfaction quickly turned to frustration when they entered the house and discovered that it was in a significant state of disrepair. The walls were cracked, the sink had been torn out, and the best furniture in the house had disappeared. The most surprising thing of all was the presence of "an improvised chicken coop" inside the building.
The dissemination of the case on social media has been remarkable, with three videos dedicated to documenting the situation. One of these videos has reached more than 58,000 views, reflecting the interest and considerable indignation generated in the community by the state in which José's home was found.
Now, the owner will have to face not only the task of repairing his home, but also the uncertainty about the possibility of recovering the property lost during the time it was illegally occupied.
