A spectacular accident that occurred on Thursday morning has left two people injured, after a vehicle with five occupants plunged into a 15-metre ravine on the road between Pinar de Pilancones and the Chira dam, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
At 10:44 a.m., the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert reporting the incident. A 48-year-old woman, who also suffered moderate head trauma, was taken by a basic life support ambulance to the same clinic for specialized medical care.
