Lopesan's General Manager for Central Europe, Juan Pita Urgoiti, has confirmed the presence of the hotel chain during the Hospitality Leaders Summit to be held in Prague in 2025. This is the largest international meeting of executives in the European sector. Pita Urgoiti will be at this forum with executives such as Dimitris Manikis, President for Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa at Wyndham; Erwin Verhoog, Vice President of Operations at Hilton Sam Hall, Antonio Sancho Segura, Business Director of the Radisson hotel group or Simon Girntke, Director of Project Management and Viability at Marriott. The forum is a meeting point for the most sought-after hoteliers, designers and real estate developers in charge of the latest key projects in 30 countries. Juan Pita Urgoiti is the head of Lopesan’s hotel operations in Germany. In October 2023, IFA Hotels, one of the two hotel management brands that make up the Lopesan Group, opened a new head office in Schönefeld, just outside Berlin (Germany), close to Terminal 5 of Berlin-Brandenburg Airport. Lopesan acquired the German brand IFA Hotel & Touristik AG in 1999, when it took control of 50,01% of the company.
With over 20 years of experience, having held numerous leadership positions in companies, Urgoiti is an expert in multi-brand operations and hotel openings. His experience spans different brands and markets, and he has a deep understanding of the dynamics of the hotel industry in Central Europe.
