The ETB Gran Canaria Pro 2024 champions shine in an epic final

Haddar, Dourado, Pérez and Valladares win in their respective categories in the first test of the European bodyboard circuit, held on the wave of La Cícer in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

 

The ETB Gran Canaria Pro 2024, the first stop on the European Tour of Bodyboard, has concluded with the champions crowned in an event full of excitement on the wave of La Cícer, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Anas Haddar (Morocco) won in the Men's category, while Luana Dourado (Portugal) took the title in Women. In Junior, Yúbal Pérez (Gran Canaria) revalidated his title and David Valladares (Venezuela) was crowned champion in Dropknee, in a prominent event of the European Surfing Federation.

 

The Men's category was led by Haddar, who with a score of 14.25 beat high-level competitors such as Armide Soliveres, second place, and Jorge Hernández, third. In the Women's category, Teresa Padrela started strongly, but it was Dourado, only 15 years old, who was crowned champion after coming back halfway through the heat. Mar Suanzes, the only Spanish woman in the final, finished third, while the Brazilian Isabela Sousa rounded out the podium.

 

The event stood out not only for the competition, but also for the vibrant atmosphere that attracted surf lovers to Las Canteras beach. With two days full of excitement and a highly valued competitors area, the event also offered a market with Canarian brands and live music, consolidating Gran Canaria as the epicentre of European bodyboarding.
